What Are PTFE Machined Parts?
PTFE Machined Parts are customized parts fabricated from PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) rods, sheets, or tubes through CNC turning, milling, drilling, etc.
Machined PTFE parts are particularly useful when a component requires low friction, chemical resistance, electrical insulation, or resistance to demanding temperatures.
Shanghai Yecheng understands how to control PTFE deformation and dimensional variation during machining and can help you evaluate a suitable material option for your custom machined PTFE parts. Just tell us about your temperature, chemical exposure, load, friction, and wear requirements.
Custom PTFE Machined Parts We Manufacture
CNC machining offers a wide range of plastic materials to choose from. However, PTFE has demonstrated its unique properties in the following products.

Yecheng can provide different color options for your custom PTFE machined bearings and bushings. The minimum order quantity is 1 pc.

Custom PTFE seals can be manufactured with different cross-sections and sealing structures according to your drawings.

We pay particular attention to dimensional control to support accurate assembly and sealing performance.

Custom PTFE sleeves are machined with quality control covering material preparation, CNC machining, surface deburring, and tolerance inspection.

We can process products with various inner and outer diameters, thicknesses, bolt holes, special contours, and sealing structures according to your drawings.

For large orders, we pay particular attention to the consistency of sizes among different batches in PTFE machining parts.

PTFE is highly suitable for components that have strict requirements for insulation performance.

We can manufacture PTFE gaskets with different outer diameters, inner diameters, and thicknesses according to the drawings.

It is necessary for us to carefully control the relevant dimensions and coaxiality for better assembly and operation between the tooth profile and the center hole.
PTFE Machined Parts for Industrial Applications
Different applications have different requirements for the structure and machining of PTFE parts. CNC PTFE parts are widely used in fields such as chemical engineering, semiconductors, and industrial equipment.
Chemical ComponentsThe PTFE precision machined parts in chemical equipment usually need to be machined to achieve precise mating and sealing structures. We focus on controlling the dimensional relationships to ensure the parts can be properly assembled with the corresponding components.
Food processing equipmentThe PTFE parts in food processing equipment are mainly used for sliding, supporting, isolation, and sealing. Therefore, the common types are cylindrical and ring-shaped CNC turning parts.
Semiconductor componentsPTFE components are used in semiconductor equipment where chemical resistance, electrical insulation, and low-friction performance are required. Depending on the component structure, we can select CNC turning, milling, or multi-axis machining to meet dimensional requirements.
Benefits of PTFE Machined Parts
Unlike other plastic materials, PTFE machined material has its own unique properties.

PTFE machined parts have a very low friction coefficient and are suitable for parts that require sliding, rotation, or repeated contact.

Wide operating temperature range: ‑200 °C to +260 °C, suitable for continuous‑use industrial environments.

Virgin PTFE provides low friction, while filled PTFE grades can be selected when higher wear resistance, load capacity, or dimensional stability is required.

In environments with high humidity or applications involving prolonged exposure to moisture, PTFE machined parts are less likely to be affected by moisture absorption.
Engineering Considerations for PTFE Machined Parts
Compared with metal materials and some rigid engineering plastics, PTFE has more obvious problems with material deformation and dimensional changes. Due to its inherent softness, PTFE cannot be machined with standard metal or rigid plastic CNC workflows.
Before CNC machining, the following aspects will also be evaluated:
- Dimensional Stability
- Machining Tolerances
- Thin-Wall PTFE Components
- Internal & External Threads
- Small-Diameter PTFE Parts
After that, we will provide DFM feedback based on your drawings. Send us your drawings now and get engineering support for your project!

PTFE Machined Parts Surface Treatment
For PTFE machined parts, we provide two surface finishes for your choice: as-machined and beadblast/sandblast. The sandblasted finish is widely used for bonding and adhesive assembly. The as-machined finish is preferred for sealing and sliding contact surfaces.
As machined
PTFE parts can usually be processed using the original surface as the final surface state. After processing, deburring, chamfering, and edge treatment are carried out according to the drawing requirements, while retaining the natural processing texture.
Beadblast/Sandblast
Sandblasting/beadblasting can be used to improve the surface texture of PTFE parts, making the surface more uniform and reducing obvious processing textures.

CNC PTFE Machining Capabilities

Shanghai Yecheng specializes in custom CNC machining and can select the appropriate processing method based on the size, structure, and tolerance requirements of PTFE parts. For different geometric structures, we can use CNC turning, turning-milling combination, milling machining, and secondary processing.
From simple cylindrical parts to PTFE components with holes, slots, threads, and complex contours, they can all be processed according to the drawings.
CNC Turning
Yecheng can perform CNC turning machining for inner holes, outer circles, steps, grooves, internal and external threads, bevels, and precision mating surfaces. We will focus on controlling the key dimensions according to the drawings, rather than processing only based on the shape of the part.
CNC Turning-Milling Combination
For PTFE parts that contain both rotational structures and milling features, a turning-milling combination can reduce the need for repeated clamping between different equipment.
By integrating different processing procedures, errors caused by repositioning can be reduced, and the processing consistency of complex PTFE parts can be improved.
Multi-axis Milling Machining
For PTFE parts with complex contours, eccentric holes, multi-faced structures, or spatial features, Yecheng can select 3/4/5-axis CNC machining based on the part structure.
Multi-axis machining can reduce the repetitive clamping of complex parts, allowing multiple processing features to be completed in fewer clamping operations, thereby reducing positioning errors.
PTFE Grades for Custom Machining
Values are typical reference values and may vary depending on PTFE grade and test method.

PTFE is the generic material name for polytetrafluoroethylene, while Teflon™ is a trademark used for certain fluoropolymer products. Therefore, PTFE refers to the material, while Teflon™ generally refers to a branded product or material family.
Yes, sure. We can accept prototype machining before mass production.
You can submit your drawings on our website or send them to our email address sales@yechengjd.com. We will provide DFM feedback and a quotation within 2hours.
PTFE is more susceptible to deformation and dimensional changes than many metals because of its softness and thermal expansion. We can check material grade, wall thickness, clamping method, machining sequence, and critical dimensions before production to improve dimensional consistency.
